Infinera DRX-30 chassis and network elements

Infinera is an independent optical networking vendor known for its photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology and, more recently, for open and disaggregated transport platforms developed in partnership with the Telecom Infra Project (TIP). The two part numbers we carry are both DRX-30 units, part of Infinera's DRX Series Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) platform used for open mobile transport aggregation at the cell site.

How to read these part numbers

VQS-X30CHASS is the DRX-30 chassis itself. DRX30A-NE-DC48 is a DRX-30 network element configured for -48V DC power input. Both belong to the same DRX Series platform; confirm the power configuration your site requires (DC or AC) before ordering.

Ordering notes

Give the exact part number and confirm the power configuration (DC or AC) your installation requires — chassis and network element variants within the DRX Series are not universally interchangeable. Condition is stated per quotation — new, new-surplus or refurbished — and all stock referenced on this page is refurbished/used and sold on that basis; where a destination does not admit used network equipment we will say so and quote accordingly. Hardware only: software licensing and entitlements remain between the buyer and Infinera. Destination type approval and import permits (CST/SABER, TDRA, ICASA, CA, CMC, ARPCE) are the buyer's responsibility and we will flag this on the quotation.

Lifecycle and availability

Infinera remains an independent, actively operating optical networking vendor. The DRX Series, including the DRX-30, is part of its more recent Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) portfolio, developed with the Telecom Infra Project. Both items listed here are refurbished/used (condition REF) secondary-market stock rather than new-build.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the DRX-30 used for?

It is a chassis/network element in Infinera's DRX Series, a disaggregated cell site gateway (DCSG) platform developed with the Telecom Infra Project for open mobile transport aggregation at cell sites.

Is VQS-X30CHASS the same thing as DRX30A-NE-DC48?

No. VQS-X30CHASS is the bare DRX-30 chassis; DRX30A-NE-DC48 is a network element configured for -48V DC power. Tell us your power requirement and we will confirm which you need.

Is Infinera still an independent company?

Yes. Infinera continues to operate independently as an optical networking vendor; it is not the same company as Coriant, which Infinera acquired in 2018.

Manufacturer names, product names and part numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only. CRS PLUS sources these products through its qualified supplier base and holds no distributor, reseller or agency appointment from any manufacturer listed.

This catalogue is compiled from our supplier network's available inventory and from manufacturer product documentation, and is reviewed monthly. Listing does not indicate stock held by CRS PLUS — availability, condition and lead time are confirmed per enquiry. Last reviewed: 22 August 2026.
