Ericsson Baseband 6648 — KDU1370015/11
The Baseband 6648 is a 1U standalone baseband unit for Ericsson Radio System, built for NR and LTE. Every one of its twelve radio ports carries both CPRI and eCPRI, and it is the unit that supplies the 24.3 Gbit/s CPRI and 25 Gbit/s eCPRI rates the newest radios need. It is not a general-purpose replacement for an older baseband — it drops GSM and WCDMA entirely.

Before you order
Hardware revisions R2C and R2D are restricted to 0–+45 °C and draw about 10% more power. Worth confirming the R-state on a used unit if the installation runs warm.
Equipment condition
New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's authorised channel or an authorised distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.
New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.
