Ericsson Baseband 5216 — KDU137925/31
The Baseband 5216 is a plug-in baseband board for RBS 6000 systems, supporting GSM through NR. Its capacity matches the Baseband 6630, but it is a board rather than a box: it cannot be deployed without an RBS 6000 chassis and a Main Unit 6601, and it offers six CPRI ports where the 6630 offers fifteen.

Before you order
Going beyond six CPRI ports needs both a Baseband R503 and a Hardware Activation Code. Multiple simultaneous transport ports and 10 Gbit/s transmission are also licence-gated. Against the Baseband 5212 in the same slot, the 5216 is exactly double on every headline figure.
Equipment condition
New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's authorised channel or an authorised distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.
New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.
