Huawei UMPTe2 — universal main processing and transmission unit
The UMPTe2 is a main control and transmission board, not a baseband board — it carries no CPRI fronthaul ports and does no baseband processing. It provides the control plane, the backhaul transmission interfaces and the clock for the BBU. Within the UMPTe range the processing capacity is identical across e1, e2 and e3; what separates them is the satellite card and the optical port speed.

Choosing a UMPTe2 over a UMPTe1 buys GPS synchronisation and nothing else — processing and cell capacity are identical. Choosing an e3 over an e2 buys multi-constellation GNSS and 25GE transport.

Equipment condition
New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's authorised channel or an authorised distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.
New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.
