HPE server spares — boards, backplanes, cooling and rails

Mechanical and board-level spares are what actually hold up a server rebuild. A chassis without the right riser presents no usable PCIe slot; a drive without a tray cannot be installed; a high-TDP processor without the matching heatsink and fan kit will throttle or refuse to post. These parts are cheap relative to the systems they serve and disproportionately hard to find, which is why they are catalogued at part-number level here.

How to read these part numbers

Each line names the part type, the platform families it fits, and the option part number. Where a part fits several platforms all are listed — `Front Bezel Dell PowerEdge R820 R730 R730xd R720 R720xd 0TFV72` fits five chassis. Riser cards give the PCIe generation and lane width they present, because that is what determines what can be fitted to them.

Ordering notes

Spares are platform-specific and generation-specific even where they look generic. Confirm the exact chassis model and generation, and quote the option part number where you have it. Note that high-performance fan and heatsink kits are required for high-TDP processors and for passively cooled accelerator cards, and are not fitted to standard configurations.

Lifecycle and availability

Mechanical spares are supplied new, new-old-stock or refurbished, with condition stated per line.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.
