Finisar Corporation was a Sunnyvale, California-based manufacturer of optical subsystems and transceivers, and one of the largest independent suppliers of pluggable optics to the wider telecom and datacom industry rather than a builder of its own branded network systems. II-VI Incorporated acquired Finisar in September 2019, and II-VI itself was renamed Coherent Corp. in 2022 following its acquisition of Coherent, Inc. Because Finisar built optics to open standards (SFP, SFP+) rather than proprietary platforms, its FTLF-series modules are widely used as interoperable, vendor-agnostic pluggables across many network vendors' equipment rather than only Finisar-branded systems. Give the exact FTLF part number where you have it — Finisar's optics differ in wavelength, distance and application (general datacom vs. CPRI/OBSAI fronthaul) within similar-looking part families. Condition is stated per quotation as refurbished or used-tested. CRS PLUS is an independent broker and is not a qualified Finisar, II-VI or Coherent Corp. distributor or partner. Hardware only; any host-system coding or locking is a matter between the buyer and their platform vendor. Destination type approval and import permits (CST/SABER, TDRA, ICASA, CA, CMC, ARPCE) are the buyer's responsibility and we will say so on the quotation.

Does Finisar still exist as a company?
Finisar was acquired by II-VI Incorporated in 2019. II-VI later acquired Coherent, Inc. and renamed itself Coherent Corp. in 2022, so Finisar optics are now part of the Coherent Corp. product range, though legacy FTLF part numbers are unchanged.
Will a Finisar SFP work in my Cisco, Huawei or Nokia equipment?
