MikroTik SFP and SFP+ modules
MikroTik routers and switches are a standard choice for wireless ISPs and regional operators, and their SFP modules are ordered by MikroTik's own part numbers. The codes are compact but descriptive: they state the data rate, wavelength, connector and reach. This page lists the 1G and 10G modules most requested for RouterBOARD, Cloud Core Router (CCR) and Cloud Router Switch (CRS) platforms, including the single-fibre BiDi pair.
How to read these part numbers
S- denotes a 1.25 Gbit/s SFP and S+ a 10 Gbit/s SFP+. The two digits that follow give the wavelength (85 for 850 nm, 31 for 1310 nm); for BiDi modules they give transmit and receive (35 is Tx 1310 / Rx 1550 nm, 53 the reverse). DLC means duplex LC, LC alone a single-fibre LC, and the closing number is the reach (05 for 550 m, 03 for 300 m, 10 and 20 for 10 km and 20 km). A trailing D indicates digital diagnostics (DDM). RJ01 and RJ10 are the 1G and 10G copper modules.

Ordering notes
Quote the exact part number including any suffix, the switch or router platform and its software release, and the quantity. State whether you require the original manufacturer's module or will accept a correctly coded compatible module; we quote both and mark which is which, never one as the other. For BiDi optics order the two ends as a pair; for DACs and AOCs give the exact length. Condition is stated per quotation — new, new surplus or refurbished — and where a destination does not admit used network equipment we quote new. Destination type approval and import permits are the buyer's responsibility and are noted on the quotation. BiDi modules must be ordered as an S-35LC20D and S-53LC20D pair, one at each end of the fibre.
Equipment condition
New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.
New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.
Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Frequently asked questions
Which MikroTik module do I need for a 20 km single-mode link?
S-31DLC20D for a duplex (two-fibre) link, or the S-35LC20D and S-53LC20D pair where only one fibre is available.
What is the difference between S-35LC20D and S-53LC20D?
They are the two ends of a single-fibre BiDi link. S-35LC20D transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm; S-53LC20D does the opposite. One of each is required.
Do MikroTik platforms accept third-party modules?
MikroTik RouterOS does not enforce vendor coding in the way Cisco or HPE Aruba platforms do, so standards-compliant modules generally work. We quote MikroTik-branded and compatible modules as separate, clearly marked lines.
