Intel server network adapters and SFP+ optics

Intel's X520 and X710 controllers sit behind most 10GbE server ports in the installed base, sold both as Intel-branded cards and as OEM adapters under Dell and HPE part numbers. These cards accept only optics they recognise, so the adapter and its SFP+ modules are usually ordered together. This page lists the Intel-controller adapters we source alongside Intel's own SFP+ and SFP28 optics — E10GSFPSR, E10GSFPLR and E25GSFP28SR.

How to read these part numbers

Each line gives the maker, controller family, speed, port count and media, then the option part number. `NIC Dell Intel X550-T4 10GbE 4-port Base-T 064PJ8` is a four-port 10GBase-T copper card on the Intel X550 controller. `FLR` in an HP part number marks FlexibleLOM format, which occupies a dedicated slot and is not a standard PCIe card.

Intel optics for these adapters

Intel 10GbE and 25GbE adapters check the module fitted to them and, by default, accept Intel-qualified optics only. E10GSFPSR (10GBASE-SR) and E10GSFPLR (10GBASE-LR) are the standard modules for X520 and X710 cards; E25GSFP28SR is the 25G short-reach module for XXV710 and E810 cards. Quote the adapter model with the optic so we can confirm the pairing.

Ordering notes

Confirm form factor before anything else: standard PCIe, FlexibleLOM, network daughter card and OCP are mutually incompatible mechanical formats. Confirm media type, since SFP+ cards need transceivers or direct-attach cables quoted separately and Base-T cards do not. Where the card will carry a specific transceiver, state it, because some adapters enforce a vendor-coded optic.

Lifecycle and availability

Adapters are supplied new, new-old-stock or refurbished with condition stated per line. Transceivers and direct-attach cables are quoted separately unless specifically requested with the card.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you hold Intel network adapters in stock?

Listing here does not indicate stock held by CRS PLUS. Every line is sourced through our qualified supplier base, and availability, condition and lead time are confirmed against your enquiry before you commit. Condition is stated explicitly on every quotation.

Can you supply a part number that is not listed on this page?

Yes. This page lists 8 line items currently identified in our supplier network, and it is not the limit of what we source. Send the part number, or the machine model and the position the part occupies, and we will identify and price it.

What condition is the equipment supplied in?

New, new-old-stock and tested refurbished are all sourced, and the condition of each line is stated on the quotation before you commit. Where a part is end-of-sale, no manufacturer warranty applies and this is said plainly rather than implied.

Which markets do you deliver to?

CRS PLUS serves buyers across the Middle East and Africa from a supplier base in China, Europe and the United States. Delivery terms and destination are confirmed per enquiry, and shipping is quoted alongside the goods.

Which optic do I need for an Intel X520 or X710 card?

E10GSFPSR for 10G multimode links up to 300 m, or E10GSFPLR for 10G single-mode links up to 10 km. Intel adapters accept Intel-qualified optics by default, so third-party modules may not be recognised.

Manufacturer names, product names and part numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only. CRS PLUS sources these products through its qualified supplier base and holds no distributor, reseller or agency appointment from any manufacturer listed.

This catalogue is compiled from our supplier network's available inventory and from manufacturer product documentation, and is reviewed monthly. Listing does not indicate stock held by CRS PLUS — availability, condition and lead time are confirmed per enquiry. Last reviewed: 3 November 2026.
