Efore OPUS rectifier modules and DC power systems
The Efore OPUS range is a modular DC power system made up of plug-in rectifier modules, a VIDI controller and rack or cabinet shelving. It serves as the battery charger and DC supply for switchgear, protection, control and emergency systems in substations, oil and gas facilities and industrial plants. CRS PLUS sources replacement OPUS C (MRC) and OPUS HE (MHE) rectifier modules, controllers and complete systems in 24, 48, 60, 110, 125 and 220 V DC.

MRC 110-1600 and its successor
The MRC modules are the first generation of the OPUS platform. Each plugs into an OPUS C shelf, connects through an IEC 320 AC inlet and a Twinblade DC connector, and is controlled over the PowerCAN bus by a VIDI controller. The MRC 110-1600 (order no. 92G300) delivers 14.5 A at 110 V DC from a single-phase 230 V AC supply.
The OPUS HE MHE modules are the current generation: 2,000 W in the 110 V class, a wide 85 to 300 V AC input and higher efficiency, managed by the same VIDI controller family. The MHE is 169 mm high against 230 mm for the MRC, so it cannot be assumed to fit an MRC shelf. Where an MRC module is no longer available, the existing rack or cabinet is confirmed first and any shelf change is stated on the quotation.
Ownership of the Efore range
Efore Plc sold its telecom business, together with the Efore brand, to Shenzhen Kexin Communication Technologies in 2019. The remaining company was renamed Enedo in 2020, came under the ownership of Inission AB in 2022 and was renamed Inission Power in 2026. Distributors continue to list the OPUS DC power systems under the Enedo brand, and existing installations carry the original Efore model and order numbers, which are used for every quotation.
Where a like-for-like OPUS module is not available, a complete industrial battery-charger system from another manufacturer, such as Benning, AEG Power Solutions, Gutor, Chloride or Borri, can be quoted as an alternative.
Documentation and supply terms
- Identification
- Modules and systems are quoted against the model and order number on the rating label. Where fit depends on the rack, shelf or controller in service, these are confirmed before the quotation is issued.
- Condition and origin
- Each quotation states condition (new or new surplus), origin and lead time. A current-generation module is offered only as an identified alternative, with any shelf or controller change stated.
- Test documentation
- The manufacturer test report and EU declaration of conformity are supplied where issued for the item.
- Quotation
- Listing does not indicate stock held by CRS PLUS. Lead time and warranty are stated per quotation.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is the Efore MRC 110-1600?
A plug-in 110 V DC rectifier module for the Efore OPUS C modular DC power system: 1,600 W, 14.5 A, single-phase 230 V AC input, natural convection cooling, controlled over CAN bus by a VIDI controller. Its order number is 92G300.
What replaces the MRC 110-1600?
The current-generation module in the same voltage class is the OPUS HE MHE 110-2000 (order no. 92I250), rated 2,000 W and 18.5 A. It works with the VIDI controller but has a different height, so the shelf is confirmed before it is offered as a replacement.
Can MRC and MHE modules run in the same system?
The VIDI controller manages both MRC and MHE modules, but the two generations have different mechanical formats. Mixing them depends on the shelving in the rack or cabinet and is confirmed per system.
Which DC voltages does the OPUS range cover?
24, 48, 60, 110, 125 and 220 V DC. The 110, 125 and 220 V modules are used for substation and industrial battery chargers; 48 and 60 V for telecom.
Is Efore still the manufacturer?
The Efore brand was sold to Shenzhen Kexin in 2019. The OPUS DC power systems are listed by distributors under the Enedo brand, now part of Inission Power. Existing installations and quotations use the original Efore model and order numbers.
