ZTE ZXA10 C300, C320 and C600 OLT and GPON boards

ZTE's ZXA10 platforms sit behind a large share of fibre access networks in North Africa, the Gulf and East Africa, usually installed by the operator's original ZTE contract and then left to grow on their own. The enquiries that reach us are the same shape as for Huawei: a GTGH or GTGO service board to add subscribers to a C300 or C320 that has spare slots, a control board that has failed, or a batch of ZXHN ONTs to keep a rollout moving when the original supply line has gone quiet. We source all three on request, with condition stated per line.

How to read these part numbers

ZTE identifies OLT boards by a four-letter functional code. GTGH and GTGO are GPON service boards — 16 and 8 ports respectively — with a trailing G or K indicating the optical class and generation, so GTGHG is the Class C++ version of GTGH. SCXN and SCXM are the control and switching boards for the C300; SMXA/1, /3 and /10 are the equivalents for the C320, the suffix giving the uplink configuration. PRAM and PRWG are AC and DC power boards, GUFQ and GUSQ are uplink boards. ZXHN F-numbers identify ONTs, and the trailing letter — F670L, F6600P — distinguishes Wi-Fi and voice variants of the same base model.

Ordering notes

Name the chassis first: C300 boards and C320 boards are not interchangeable, and C600 is a different generation again. Then give the board code with its suffix, because GTGH and GTGHG have different optical budgets and the wrong one works on the bench and fails in the plant. State the software version running on the OLT, since ZTE enforces board and release dependencies. For ONTs, give the exact ZXHN model, the quantity, whether you need the operator-specific firmware, and the country of installation — that decides the type-approval position. Condition is stated per quotation — new, new-surplus or refurbished — and where a destination does not admit used network equipment (Algeria is the usual example) we quote new. Hardware only: software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer. Destination type approval and import permits (CST/SABER, TDRA, ICASA, CA, CMC, ARPCE) are the buyer's responsibility and we will say so on the quotation.

Lifecycle and availability

ZXA10 C300 and C320 are end-of-sale in most variants and are supplied as new surplus or refurbished with CRS PLUS warranty; C600 and C650 remain current. ZXHN ONTs are sourced new in volume and refurbished in smaller lots. ZTE's international distribution is thinner than Huawei's, so lead times are stated realistically on each quotation rather than optimistically. Complete C320 and C620 configurations — chassis, control and uplink card, GPON line card, SFPs by class, power modules and licences identified — are quoted as one bill of materials, new and refurbished side by side, with the licence and firmware state of any used chassis stated.

Building a complete C320 or C620 — configurator checklist

The clearest requests we receive read like a bill of materials: chassis, 16-port GTGH or GTGHG GPON board, sixteen C++ GPON SFPs, two 10G SFP+ uplinks, the licences, delivered to a named city. The page is organised so that a buyer can specify exactly that.

1. Chassis — C320 (the compact "Mini C320", 2 service slots), C300 (16 slots), C650 or C620 (compact 10G-capable), C600 (large 10G chassis). 2. Control and uplink card — SMXA/1, SMXA/3 or SMXA/10 on the C320 according to GE or 10GE uplink; SCXN or SCXM on the C300 with GUFQ, GUSQ or HUVQ uplink boards. 3. GPON line card — GTGO (8 ports) or GTGH (16 ports), GTGHG for Class C++ optics; XGS-PON line cards on C600 and C620. 4. SFP class — B+, C+ or C++, one per PON port; the class sets the split ratio and reach and buyers specify it for good reason. 5. Power — PRAMS (AC) or PRWGS (−48 V DC) on the C320, PRAM or PRWG on the C300, dual −48 V DC modules on the C620; dual AC plus DC where the site has both. 6. Licences — the port and feature licences the configuration requires are identified and shown as separate lines; hardware and licence are never merged into one price. 7. Spares — fan trays, blank panels and spare power modules, quoted individually.

Quotations are tiered by quantity and quoted new and refurbished side by side; no list price is published.

Which chassis for which network

C320: up to 32 GPON ports in 2U — the usual choice for a town or a district rollout up to roughly 2,000 subscribers at a 1:64 split, with GE or 10GE uplink according to the SMXA card fitted.

C300: 16 service slots for a central-office or large-town deployment, GPON today with 10G GPON (GTTO) available.

C620 and C650: compact chassis that bring XGS-PON and GPON together — the entry point to 10G for an operator whose plans or subscriber density have outgrown GPON, requested with a 16-port GPON card and two −48 V DC modules as a typical first build.

C600: the large 10G chassis for an operator consolidating GPON and XGS-PON at scale.

A buyer choosing between GPON and XGS-PON is making a network decision rather than a chassis decision; tell us subscriber count and plan speeds and the quotation sets out both.

Used C320 chassis — grade, licence and firmware

Refurbished ZXA10 chassis are a regular request, typically C320 in lots of tens. Each used chassis or control board is quoted with its cosmetic grade, the test scope, and the licence and firmware state as received. CRS PLUS does not represent used chassis as carrying transferable licences; software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer or integrator. Where a buyer requires original and new — "original e novo" is the phrase we see — the quotation says new, and new means factory-sealed through our qualified supplier base, not re-cased.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.

Refurbished stock — how it is graded and what ships

New and refurbished units are quoted side by side. For refurbished stock, the quotation answers the questions buyers ask first, in the order they ask them.

Cosmetic grade.Is the housing new?
Every refurbished unit is graded A, B or C and the grade is written on the quotation. Grade A: housing free of marks visible at arm's length, no discolouration, original labels intact. Grade B: light scuffing or minor marks, no cracks, labels legible. Grade C: visible wear or discolouration, functionally identical to A and B, offered only where the buyer has accepted it. Where an enclosure has been replaced with a new housing the quotation says so; a re-cased unit is never described as new.
Test coverage. Is the board fully working?
Units are powered and functionally tested before dispatch. For an ONT that means PON registration against an OLT of the matching vendor, every Ethernet and POTS port exercised, each Wi-Fi band brought up, a factory reset to default, and the firmware version and language recorded. For an OLT chassis or board it means power-up, board registration in slot, optical port check, control board access and the licence and software state recorded. The scope of the test is stated on the quotation.
Carton contents. With box and power supply?
The quotation lists exactly what ships with each unit: the power adapter, matched to the destination voltage and plug type where you specify it; an optical patch lead where requested; and whether units are individually boxed or bulk-packed. Original manufacturer cartons are not guaranteed on refurbished stock and are confirmed per lot rather than assumed.
Warranty on used stock.What warranty?
Warranty on refurbished equipment covers functional failure under normal use and is stated per line item on the quotation — the period, what it covers and how a return is handled — before you commit to an order.
Firmware state. Is the firmware in English, and is it locked?
The language of the shipped firmware and whether a unit is carrier-branded or carrier-locked is declared per lot. Where English firmware is required it is confirmed on the unit before dispatch, not assumed from the model number. Locked or operator-branded stock is declared as such and never described as open.
Licence state (OLT chassis and control boards). What about licences on a used OLT?
Second-hand OLT chassis and control boards are quoted with their licence and software state as received, stated on the quotation. CRS PLUS does not represent used chassis as carrying transferable licences; software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer or integrator, and we recommend confirming the licensing position before relying on a used chassis for a live rollout.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can a C320 take C300 boards?

No. They share naming conventions but not backplanes. The C320 uses SMXA control boards and its own service-board fits. Confirm the chassis before ordering anything for it.

What is the difference between GTGH and GTGHG?

Optical class. GTGHG is Class C++ and supports a larger split ratio and longer reach than the Class C+ GTGH. Match the board to your outside-plant design, not just the port count.

Do you supply ZXHN ONTs with operator firmware?

We supply the hardware. Firmware provisioning is between you and ZTE or your integrator, and we will say so rather than imply otherwise.

Can ONTs be shipped into every country you list?

No. Terminal equipment needs type approval in most of our markets, and some countries do not admit used equipment at all. Tell us the destination with the enquiry and we will quote a condition and route that clears.

What is a "Mini C320"?

The buyer's name for the ZXA10 C320 itself: the compact 2U, two-service-slot chassis, as distinct from the 16-slot C300. It takes SMXA control boards, GTGH or GTGO line cards and PRAMS AC or PRWGS DC power, and with two 16-port GTGH cards reaches 32 PON ports. It is quoted new and refurbished; used C320 chassis are graded and their licence and firmware state declared.

Can you quote the C600 cooling fan on its own?

Yes. Fan trays, power modules, blank panels and other mechanical spares for the C300, C320, C600 and C620 are quoted as individual lines; send the chassis model and, where you have it, the code printed on the existing unit.
