Nokia outdoor housings are requested in lots that mirror a rollout: the current enquiry is for one hundred AAOB Outdoor Cabinet L units — the AirScale dual-bay power and battery cabinet — alongside refurbished Flexi FCOA cabinets from European decommissioning stock. How to read these part numbers

Flexi codes read FC for Flexi Cabinet, I for indoor or O for outdoor, and a variant letter: FCIA is the indoor cabinet (36 HU, IP20), FCOA the outdoor cabinet (30+5+5 HU, product code 470142A), FCOS the outdoor small, FCOB the later outdoor cabinet with a PDU box (473240A). Nokia product codes are six digits and a letter with a suffix for hardware revision (.101, .102). AirScale codes read AM for the AirScale subrack — AMIA indoor, AMOB and AMOD outdoor, 8U and 11U — and AC for the AirScale Cabinet Outdoor models ACOA (13U) and ACOB (21U), which can be stacked to 34U. AAOB "Outdoor Cabinet L (ST)" (CS7156103) is the AirScale all-in-one outdoor cabinet; Nokia has not published a datasheet defining the S / M / L sizes or the ST climate code, so those attributes are confirmed per quotation rather than stated.

Ordering notes

Give the product code with its revision suffix, because accessories and module compatibility differ between .101 and .102 builds. For FCOA state which optional items are required — FCSA site support module, FPRA rectifier, FCCA battery kit, FCFA air filter for coastal sites — since the cabinet itself is an empty aluminium housing with no electrical function. For AMOB and AMOD state the common and capacity units to be fitted. For AAOB give the quantity, destination and whether new-compatible or original used stock is acceptable: both have been quoted in recent enquiries and the quotation states which. Condition is stated per quotation — new, new surplus or refurbished with the cosmetic grade — and where a destination does not admit used network equipment we quote new. No list price is published; quotations are per cabinet with the configuration itemised — housing, climate unit, rectifier frame, modules, monitoring, batteries, plinth — and are prepared landed to the destination city where requested, with packed dimensions and weight stated for the freight line.

Lifecycle and availability

Flexi Multiradio cabinets (FCOA, FCIA, FCOS) are legacy Nokia Siemens Networks products supplied refurbished and graded from decommissioning stock. FCOB and the AMOB / AMOD subracks are AirScale-era and still referenced in Nokia roadmaps; the ACOA / ACOB cabinets and the all-in-one AAOB cabinet family are Nokia's current site-solution offer, supplied new and as new-compatible builds. No end-of-sale notice was found for any model; status is confirmed per quotation.

Flexi FCOA — an empty housing, quoted with its options

The FCOA is an aluminium outdoor cabinet with 30+5+5 HU of open 19-inch space, a door lock and door alarm switch, air-cooled with or without the FCFA filter (the filter version is for coastal sites above 8 mg/m²/day salt deposition), and no electrical functionality of its own. Everything that makes it a working site — FCSA site support module, FPRA rectifier, FCCA battery mounting kit and batteries, FSEB external alarm and FSEC overvoltage protection — is an optional item and is listed separately on the quotation. Empty weight is a maximum of 80 kg with four M12 lifting eyes.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Refurbished stock — how it is graded and what ships

New and refurbished units are quoted side by side. For refurbished stock, the quotation answers the questions buyers ask first, in the order they ask them.

Is the housing new?
Cosmetic grade. Every refurbished unit is graded A, B or C and the grade is written on the quotation. Grade A: housing free of marks visible at arm's length, no discolouration, original labels intact. Grade B: light scuffing or minor marks, no cracks, labels legible. Grade C: visible wear or discolouration, functionally identical to A and B, offered only where the buyer has accepted it. Where an enclosure has been replaced with a new housing the quotation says so; a re-cased unit is never described as new.
Is it fully working?
Test coverage. Cabinets and enclosures are inspected and function-tested before dispatch: door seals and gaskets, locks and hinges, the heat exchanger or air conditioner run under power, fans and heaters, the rectifier shelf and monitoring unit powered up, busbars, breakers and surge protection checked, and the housing inspected for corrosion and impact damage. The scope of the test is stated on the quotation.
With plinth, keys and internal fittings?
What ships with the cabinet. The quotation lists exactly what ships: base frame or plinth, keys, rack mounting brackets, battery trays or fixing brackets, grounding busbar, cable-entry plates, cabin lighting and door contact, the climate unit, the rectifier frame and monitoring unit where fitted, and whether rectifier modules and batteries are included. Units are crated or palletised for sea or air freight and the packed dimensions and weight are stated for freight quotation.
What warranty?
Warranty on used stock. Warranty on refurbished equipment covers functional failure under normal use and is stated per line item on the quotation — the period, what it covers and how a return is handled — before you commit to an order.
Is the firmware in English, and is it locked?
Firmware state. The language of the shipped firmware and whether a unit is carrier-branded or carrier-locked is declared per lot. Where English firmware is required it is confirmed on the unit before dispatch, not assumed from the model number. Locked or operator-branded stock is declared as such and never described as open.
What about licences on a used OLT?
Licence state (OLT chassis and control boards). Second-hand OLT chassis and control boards are quoted with their licence and software state as received, stated on the quotation. CRS PLUS does not represent used chassis as carrying transferable licences; software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer or integrator, and we recommend confirming the licensing position before relying on a used chassis for a live rollout.
