RFS splitters, combiners and diplexers

RFS (Radio Frequency Systems) antenna line devices cover the same job as CommScope's — sharing one antenna feed across multiple radios or bands — and appear on sites either as an RFS-native design or as a compatible substitute where an RFS part fits a CommScope-antenna feed line. The enquiry is nearly always a specific way-count and frequency range, since a splitter is a passive part with no firmware to fail, just a physical mismatch to avoid.

How to read these part numbers

PDS parts are simple power splitters, read by way count (PDS2, PDS3, PDS4) and frequency range in the part number; CDS parts are hybrid combiners for combining two radio paths onto one feed, read the same way with an x2/x4 port count. The -43- in a part number denotes 4.3-10 connector type; an E suffix on the alternate part number marks an N-female connector variant of the same electrical part.

Ordering notes

Confirm connector type (4.3-10 or N-female) against your feed line before ordering — the E-suffix variants are electrically identical to the standard part but will not mate with the wrong connector gender and type. State the frequency range and way count you need. Condition is stated per quotation — new, new-surplus or refurbished — and where a destination does not admit used network equipment (Algeria is the usual example) we quote new. Hardware only: software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer. Destination type approval and import permits (CST/SABER, TDRA, ICASA, CA, CMC, ARPCE) are the buyer's responsibility and we will say so on the quotation.

Lifecycle and availability

RFS splitters, combiners and diplexers are stable, low-obsolescence passive parts with no firmware or generation dependency, and are sourced new or surplus interchangeably depending on lead time.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is a PDS4-43 the same electrical part as a PDS4E?

Yes — the E suffix marks an N-female connector version of the same 4-way splitter; the RF performance is identical, only the connector differs.

Do RFS splitters work on a CommScope antenna feed?

Generally yes if the connector type and frequency range match, since these are passive RF components without vendor-specific control protocols. Confirm the exact frequency range against your antenna's operating bands before ordering.

What is a ShareLite diplexer used for?

Combining two frequency ranges — in this case roughly 280-2690MHz and 3300-5925MHz — onto a single feed line, useful when adding a new band to a site without running a second cable up the tower.
