Outdoor cabinets from other manufacturers — EnerSys, ANDREW, Rittal and nVent SCHROFF

Beyond the radio vendors and the Vertiv, Delta and Eltek ranges, operators and contractors also specify outdoor housings from enclosure and battery specialists: EnerSys SiteFlex power and battery cabinets, ANDREW macro and micro cell site enclosures, Rittal CS Toptec bayable outdoor enclosures, nVent SCHROFF outdoor cabinets for telecom and railway electronics, and the Flexenclosure eSite sealed hybrid power system. The table lists each model by its manufacturer part number with dimensions, 19-inch space, climate option and ingress rating as published by the manufacturer. Quotations itemise the housing, climate unit, power system and batteries as separate lines.

How to read these part numbers

EnerSys SiteFlex cabinets are ordered by a ten-digit article number such as 2000005674; the model name gives the function — MPC for the outdoor power and battery enclosure, LCC for the battery cabinets — and for the LCC range the battery format, LCC 8-12 and 16-12 for 12 V blocks and LCC 24-2 for 2 V cells, with the suffix F for direct air cooling and A for an air-conditioned cabinet. ANDREW site enclosures carry A-100xxx numbers, one per configured enclosure, with the rectifier and battery fit defined by the code. Rittal CS Toptec enclosures are numbered CS 97xx.xxx and are given as width × height × depth; the climate control unit is a separate order. nVent SCHROFF outdoor cabinets use article numbers of the form 11249-016 and are rated by heat dissipation in W/K for natural convection, fan ventilation or a door-mounted heat exchanger.

Ordering notes

Give the equipment to be housed in U and its heat load in watts, the DC load in amperes, the battery autonomy, the AC supply and the ambient range; the climate option and the rectifier count follow from those. Published weights generally exclude batteries, and for Rittal enclosures the climate unit, so specify both for freight. Certificates and country approvals for the destination are requested per configuration. No list price is published; quotations are per cabinet with the configuration itemised — housing, plinth, climate unit, power system, monitoring and batteries — and are prepared landed to the destination city where requested, with packed dimensions and weight stated for the freight line.

Lifecycle and availability

Availability of each model is confirmed per quotation. Some of the enclosures listed, including earlier ANDREW site enclosures and the Flexenclosure eSite system, are offered from the used and surplus market; where a model has been superseded, the current equivalent is proposed alongside it on the quotation.

Equipment condition

New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.

Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.

Warranty

Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.

Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.

Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.

Refurbished stock — how it is graded and what ships

New and refurbished units are quoted side by side. For refurbished stock, the quotation answers the questions buyers ask first, in the order they ask them.

Cosmetic grade.Is the housing new?
Every refurbished unit is graded A, B or C and the grade is written on the quotation. Grade A: housing free of marks visible at arm's length, no discolouration, original labels intact. Grade B: light scuffing or minor marks, no cracks, labels legible. Grade C: visible wear or discolouration, functionally identical to A and B, offered only where the buyer has accepted it. Where an enclosure has been replaced with a new housing the quotation says so; a re-cased unit is never described as new.
Test coverage.Is it fully working?
Cabinets and enclosures are inspected and function-tested before dispatch: door seals and gaskets, locks and hinges, the heat exchanger or air conditioner run under power, fans and heaters, the rectifier shelf and monitoring unit powered up, busbars, breakers and surge protection checked, and the housing inspected for corrosion and impact damage. The scope of the test is stated on the quotation.
What ships with the cabinet. With plinth, keys and internal fittings?
The quotation lists exactly what ships: base frame or plinth, keys, rack mounting brackets, battery trays or fixing brackets, grounding busbar, cable-entry plates, cabin lighting and door contact, the climate unit, the rectifier frame and monitoring unit where fitted, and whether rectifier modules and batteries are included. Units are crated or palletised for sea or air freight and the packed dimensions and weight are stated for freight quotation.
Warranty on used stock.What warranty?
Warranty on refurbished equipment covers functional failure under normal use and is stated per line item on the quotation — the period, what it covers and how a return is handled — before you commit to an order.
Firmware state. Is the firmware in English, and is it locked?
The language of the shipped firmware and whether a unit is carrier-branded or carrier-locked is declared per lot. Where English firmware is required it is confirmed on the unit before dispatch, not assumed from the model number. Locked or operator-branded stock is declared as such and never described as open.
Licence state (OLT chassis and control boards). What about licences on a used OLT?
Second-hand OLT chassis and control boards are quoted with their licence and software state as received, stated on the quotation. CRS PLUS does not represent used chassis as carrying transferable licences; software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer or integrator, and we recommend confirming the licensing position before relying on a used chassis for a live rollout.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do these cabinets come with the power system and climate unit?

It depends on the range. The EnerSys SiteFlex MPC power and battery enclosure is supplied with a factory-fitted 48 V DC power system and AC distribution, with the rectifier modules specified per order. ANDREW site enclosures are configured with rectifiers and battery space as defined by the part number. Rittal CS Toptec enclosures are supplied as the enclosure system, and the climate control unit is ordered separately. nVent SCHROFF outdoor cabinets are ordered by cooling version — natural convection, fan ventilation or door-mounted heat exchanger. In every case the quotation lists the housing, climate unit, power system and batteries as separate lines.

What is included with a cabinet — rectifiers, batteries, climate unit, plinth?

Manufacturer weights are almost always quoted without rectifier modules and batteries, and dealer listings often say only "equipped cabinet". Every quotation from CRS PLUS itemises what ships: the housing, base frame or plinth, climate unit (heat exchanger, air conditioner or ventilation), rectifier frame and the number of modules fitted, monitoring unit, busbars, breakers and surge protection, battery trays and whether batteries are supplied. Ask for the packing list before comparing prices between sources.

Which climate variant suits a hot-climate site?

Heat-exchanger cabinets are sealed and suit most sites; direct-ventilation battery bays carry a lower ingress rating and suit cleaner, cooler locations; air-conditioned variants are specified where ambient temperature or solar load would otherwise shorten battery life. State the site's ambient range and whether the cabinet is in the sun and the quotation will say which variant is proposed and why.

Can these enclosures house Huawei, Ericsson or Nokia equipment?

Enclosures with open 19-inch space accept any 19-inch, −48 V DC baseband, transport or radio equipment. What must be checked is the heat load against the climate unit, the DC breaker count and rating, cable entry and the alarm interface, since these enclosures expose dry contacts or SNMP rather than the radio vendor's own site management protocol. State the equipment to be housed and the quotation will confirm the fit.

How are cabinets shipped and how long does it take?

Cabinets are crated or palletised and normally move by sea because of volume; air freight is quoted where the schedule demands it. Dispatch time and transit time are stated separately on the quotation. Lithium batteries are dangerous goods in transit, so cabinets are usually shipped without batteries unless DG-compliant freight is arranged.

What warranty applies, and what does it cover on used cabinets?

Warranty terms are stated per line item on the quotation, for new and refurbished cabinets alike. On refurbished units the warranty covers functional failure of the climate unit, power frame and monitoring under normal use; the period, exclusions and return procedure are set out in writing before you commit to an order.

Manufacturer names, product names and part numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used here for identification purposes only. This catalogue is compiled from our supplier network's available inventory and from manufacturer product documentation, and is reviewed monthly. Listing does not indicate stock held by CRS PLUS — availability, condition and lead time are confirmed per enquiry. Last reviewed: 7 November 2026.
